Solace

Golden sunlight filters through

Emerald pines and amber leaves

Autumn showering rains arrive

Swelling lazy falls, coaxing bubbling brooks to flow

Hear the cry of the majestic Pileated

Echoing a song so prehistoric and magical

Watch as the Chickadee flock

Visiting each branch with exuberance brightly stated

Silently the tide flows and ebbs

Allowing flooded grasslands to rise

To become contested battlegrounds of crabs

Armored duels so knightly contested

Setting sun behind majestic stone faces

Chased silently by soft glow of lunar grace

Rising in brilliant glory of the East

Showering hillsides with the comfort of repeated Solace
